Unique Items Count
The total_unique_items tag outputs the total number of unique items in
the cart. If you have 4 of product A, and 5 of product B, this will
return 2 (just the total of A+B, not the total of all of the quantities
of the items.) If you need total of all items item & their quantities
use the total items
count tag
