I’m using http://www.emarketsouth.com/add-ons/simple-s3-uploader, but unfortunately the uploaded images are being disassociated with the entry when edited - -as if none were ever uploaded in the first place. In the edit form I have this code, which is exactly the same as I use in the entry form which initially uploads the images.

<input type=“file” name=“amazon” class=“simple_s3_upload” />
<input type=“hidden” name=“field_id_9[filename]” value=”” />

Instead of writing the markup yourself, try using the {field:your_custom_field} tag in place of that. If that doesn’t work, I’ll see if I can get in touch with eMarketSouth.

Tried it and got the error at the foot of this post. Btw I contacted Ty at eMarketSouth earlier because using this code dosen’t work

{exp:safecracker channel="mychannel" entry_id="123"}
{field:amazon}
{/exp:safecracker}

I had to use:

<input type=“file” name=“amazon” class=“simple_s3_upload” />
<input type=“hidden” name=“field_id_9[filename]” value=”” />

because this wouldn’t work:

<input type=“file” name=“amazon” class=“simple_s3_upload” />
<input type=“hidden” name=“amazon[filename]” value=”” />

So, what was the output of {field:amazon}, just curious? Can you get me the “short name” for that field type? You can find that at the bottom of the SafeCracker settings page.

I have some hunches about what’s going on.

The output is:

<input type=“file” name=“amazon” class=“simple_s3_upload” />
<input type=“hidden” name=“amazon[filename]” value=”” />

The short name is simple_s3_uploader

Just so people know, SafeCracker now works perfectly with Simple S3 Uploader.

Hi Rob, got a problem :(

Just notice in my S3 account that uploaded files are being duplicated, So if I upload photo.jpg, instead of getting

1285707766-photo.jpg
1285707766-photo-thumb.jpg

I get

1285707766-photo.jpg
1285707766-photo-thumb.jpg
1285707770-photo.jpg
1285707770-photo-thumb.jpg

So I tried uploading from the CP and it worked - - no duplicates. My SafeCracker form has 2 upload widgets (below)

{field:amazon}
{field:amazon1}

Could SafeCracker be somehow uploading images twice?

Cheers
Lee

Heh. You can’t! My bad. Try updating anyway. I made some fixes recently having to do with similarly named fields.

I’m pretty sure I was on the latest version, which I installed a few days back - and the seems to be when the trouble started - - Sorry about this.
