Eventually got round to updating to the latest version but still sets entry to closed. Any other ideas what I can try or check.

I’ve forwarded this to Rob Sanchez. Unfortunately we’re on vacation this week, so I’m not sure if he’s going to be very quick with his answer.

One thing to note… if you set the status to something that’s not an actual status, it will default to “closed”. Reading the thread though, it doesn’t seem that this is the problem. Do you have a link to this form so we can take a look?

Its the same form thats used for admin and other members so I can’t see it not using the status.  If you need access I can send you an account to check it out maybe a fresh pair of eyes might see what I am missing.

I have sent admin details but just doing some testing and it definately doesn’t work and it might be the way it supposed to be.  I have Open, Closed, Pending, Postponed, Late and Abandoned in the status group.  If I change the default within safecracker to any other than Pending it works fine.  Would Pending only be allowed for admin users.

I knew it would be something stupid, I just couldn’t remember if you could set it. The Pending status itself needed “Restrict status to members of specific groups” set.
