Adding categories?

First, I just want to say how much I appreciate SafeCracker and what it has done for EE2. Without it, I couldn’t even build sites in EE2.

One thing I’ve run into recently with a new client is that they need to be able to add categories. I don’t think that SC can do this currently, but was just checking to make sure. If not, that’d be a great feature to have added in a future version.

Secure action https

Hello,
Freeform has a parameter that allows you to turn on a secure action and secure return. Other than javascript, there is no way to make the action be a https in safecracker is there? Thanks.

URI Field from Page Module

I would like to create and edit entry with Page Module.

Using the page module, there are two custom fields in Page tab - Pages URI, Template.

But I don’t know this field name, moreover SafeCracker does support this or not.

Hi Rob,

I’d really really like to be able to do {exp:safecracker site="london" channel="{segment_4}”, but it seems that site isn’t supported. Have I missed something?

Possible to display custom_field_label?

Is it possible to display the custom “Field Label” as its set in EE? I’ve looked through the entire documentation and searched the forums without finding an answer. I can’t be the first person to ever request this.

Firstly thanks BN for an awesome addon - I’ve just converted Dev-ee.com to use it, seems to be working well!

It would be really great to be able to get it to obey EE category sort order.

Input sanitised option_value

Hello,

I’m running up against a ‘Disallowed Key Characters’ error which is being thrown by /system/codeigniter/system/core/Input.php and the reason this is happening is that EE sanitises a string on SAEF/Safecracker input.

I’m using {option_value} to build the checkbox array as it’s a multi select checkbox - my {option_value} contains spaces which is triggering the ‘Disallowed Key Characters’ error.

        {option_name}
     <input name="reg_q5[{option_value}]" type="checkbox" value="{option_value}" {checked} /><br />
    {/options:reg_q5} 

A good addtion to Safecracker would be a sanitised {option_name} placeholder so that it adheres to the function _clean_input_keys in ‘/system/codeigniter/system/core/Input.php’

Auto-submit

So I call a page with a SafeCracker form on and in the url are several segments that feed the form fields, the form auto submits and redirects to where ever.

As an example, let’s say I want to change the status of an entry to closed, which I do: The link to change the status could be http://www.site.com/templategroup/template/close, the template is called, the status field is changed to closed and the page redirects back to http://www.site.com/templategroup/template/done. The done segment fires a conditional to say the status has been changed.

What do you think?

Doing a job (which is in EE1.6.x) which calls for functionality that could be a great addition to Safe Cracker. I am having to build in basic Online Warranty Registration functionality for a site and will be using EE 1.6.x SAEF functions to do so. Problem is that the user will need to be anonymous and I need to email the contents of the entry to them and a staff member once completed. Looking to modify BK’s old Snitch extension to achieve this under 1.6, but the same sort of functions could be great for Safe Cracker too. Email template specification would need to be included too. Almost like a mix up for SAEF/Freeform.
